MiiR is committed to protecting wild places and the recreational opportunity within them, which is why we are a member of The Conservation Alliance. In an effort to support our employees’ and customers' passion for outdoor recreation, we have aligned with a network of like-minded outdoor retailers and manufacturers in an effort to fund protections and advocate for wild spaces.
The Conservation Alliance engages with businesses to fund and partner with organizations to protect North American wild places for their habitat and recreation values. Their vision is to steward a planet where wild places, wildlife, and people thrive together.
Since its inception in 1989, the Alliance has contributed more than $25 million to grassroots conservation groups throughout North America, which has preserved 73 million acres of wildlands, protected 3,576 miles of rivers, stopped or removed 36 dams, designated five marine reserves, and purchased 18 climbing areas.
